Movement of vehicles in the city of Bangalore in the peak hours turned nightmarish due to the infrastructure like roads started to be used as parking spots thus effectively reducing the road width; authorities scrambled to create exclusive parking spaces in the traffic hotspots. Crafted a parking policy with the aim to decongest the roads and ease the agony of vehicle users in finding designated parking spaces.

Avoidance of Floods and Enabling Clean Water Flow to the Lakes

Supported the city corporation of Bangalore in developing its four principal valley storm water drain schemes to enable draining the storm water into designated lakes and prevention of mixing up of sewage and drainage into storm water drains.

As part of city development plan for Bangalore, prepared the detailed plan to provide basic housing infrastructure with amenities including the governance mechanism to award the facilities to deserving groups and maintenance of the facilities by integrating with existing housing maintenance programs.

Urban Governance Reforms

Designed and developed a reforms agenda for the agency entrusted with infrastructure development and financing to adopt a governance mechanism to monitor the key performance indicators and progressively extend agreed financing in the state of Karnataka.
